Payam is a construction materials researcher with over seven years of experience developing low-carbon solutions across Europe.
Currently, he is a KTP Research Associate at Aston University in Birmingham. Previously, he held a Postdoctoral Researcher position at UPC and was a visiting researcher at the University of Naples-Parthenope.
“Areas of research:
· Development of low-carbon cementitious materials through innovative utilization of wastes.
· Design and characterization of fiber- and textile-reinforced mortars, focusing on both material properties and structural behavior.
· Sustainability assessment of construction materials using multi-criteria decision-making approaches.”
He is also a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining, the Institute of Concrete Technology and RILEM.
