Natividad García Troncoso is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Earth Sciences Structures at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral. She is the coordinator of the research group «GeoStructural Materials & Innovation Team – GeoSMIT.»
“Areas of research:
·Sustainable concrete: development of cementitious materials with recycled aggregates, pozzolans, and industrial by-products.
· Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC): formulation with agro-industrial waste and structural performance evaluation.
· Seismic performance of RC structures: nonlinear analysis and experimental validation through hybrid simulation platforms
· Structural solutions for social housing and resilient infrastructure based on the seismic performance using finite element and hybrid simulation.”
Coordinator of the master’s Program in Earthquake-Resistant Civil Structures at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral and Vice-Chair of the Ecuadorian National Group of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering.
