David Boix is a civil engineer and researcher with a background in both academia and industry. He worked for two years in the private sector as a structural engineer before focusing on research in civil engineering, where he combines technical expertise with applied innovation. He is currently involved in projects linking sustainability, infrastructure, and advanced decision-making tools.
“Areas of research:
· Development of multi-criteria decision-making methods for sustainable evaluations.
· Optimization of construction processes through sensor-based monitoring and real-time data.
· Public administration decision-making processes.
· Integration of environmental, economic and social criteria in sustainable urban development and infrastructure design and management.”
He is a member of the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making and actively participates in interdisciplinary collaborations. He contributes to bridging academia and practice through involvement in public-private research initiatives and project proposals.
