Mahyad Komary is a PhD student in Construction Engineering at UPC, where he also serves as a substitute professor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology and a master’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
“Areas of research:
· Development of low-cost IoT sensors for SHM, especially for corrosion monitoring of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
·Structural durability and real-time data integration.
· Applications of smart materials in civil engineering.”
Member of the fib TG10.3 “Examples of the Model Code” and member of other national working groups focusing on Eurocode 2 applications.
