Fidel Lozano is an architect and assistant professor at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), teaching in the Master’s in BIM for Design and Project Management. He completed his PhD in Civil and Building Engineering at UCLM in 2024 with a dissertation on the automatic calibration and sustainability assessment of BIM digital twins using smart low-cost sensor data.

Fidel’s research explores the use of BIM for the digital modelling of infrastructure, the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, RPA, IoT, and XR in structural engineering, and the application of multicriteria decision-making systems in infrastructure maintenance. ”
Member of the fib TG10.3 “Examples of the Model Code” and member of other national working groups focusing on Eurocode 2 applications.
